Naturalg project takes second place at TechXtile Challenge'24

At the TechXtile Challenge Design Competition, held for the sixth time by the Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association (UTİB) under the coordination of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and with the support of the Ministry of Trade, GTÜ Institute of Biotechnology master’s students Buse Bıyıklı and Rıfat Buğra Bildiri took second place in the “Level-Up” category.

Their project, “Naturalg: Microalgae Cultivation in Textile Wastewater and Bio-based Product Recovery”, aims to obtain bio-based products by growing microalgae in textile wastewater. It is advised by Assoc. Prof. Müge İşleten Hoşoğlu and our PIs, Asst. Prof. Bahar Yıldız Kutman and Asst. Prof. Ümit Barış Kutman. We congratulate the Naturalg team.
