Ömer Faruk Taştan's paper is published in Horticulturae

A paper by Ömer Faruk Taştan, a member of our research group, was published on 14 June 2026 in Horticulturae, a peer reviewed journal publishing research on horticultural crops. It is titled “Pre-Treated Gasification Biochar from Tomato Crop Residues as a Component of Soilless Seedling Substrates”.

The study examines whether biochar obtained from the gasification of tomato crop residues can be used, after pre-treatment, as a component of soilless seedling substrates. The other authors are Elif Çelik, Prof. Dr. Murat Doğru and our PIs Asst. Prof. Bahar Yıldız Kutman and Asst. Prof. Ümit Barış Kutman.
